after countless months of indecision, numerous amount of hard work, a plethora of self-doubt.. I got my results today. I got into Illustration.

I am still the dreamer, but hand in hand with the dream.

excitement commence!

Stan Lee is coming to FanExpo in August!!!

apart from that, life is pretty routine for me. results from portfolio comes out on thursday morning so that's pretty much the only thing I look forward to/get over with.

oh right, I forgot. on good friday, I'm going to Mt. Marmora to do the 14 stations of the cross with my family and a bunch of others.

It's sorta like one big picnic in the mountains for religious reasons. yes, we go every year.

brings me back to the first time we went (eh jen? hahaha)

note: both still lifes are wip's, I HATE my self-portrait dsfgjfdsg, I clearly have a growing affinity for drawing animals and wildlife.

as promised, here is my Illustration portfolio (sans drawing test since I can't find them at the moment in my cluttered room. don't worry, you're not missing much.)

I'm indifferent and relieved to have these off my back, but during the process of getting them done, it had been a wild roller coaster ride.. full of danger and perils and all that cool stuff. On a more serious note, I'm finally giving it a shot and not wasting any more time being side-tracked, academically. I can't thank my friends and random supporters enough for being there to cheer me on/give me constructive criticism/calm me down during these past few months, you guys are awesome! (you know who you are.. maybe you're even reading this right now, who knows?)

random thought, I can't wait to see Alice in Wonderland again. twas a great movie, and I heard 3d was an acid trip so I'm thinking of trying that out. which brings me to this picture:



yes, that is in fact the official movie tryptych posters. smooth. what's even worse is that I bought these right after I watched it.. impulse move :|

impromptu post

damn it!!! I forgot my password for both tumblr and my OTHER blogspot account.. so I've resulted to just using this. You can see I kind of revamped it, moved a few things here and there. Not too extravagant, but not too shabby either.

A little over a week ago, I finished and handed in my Illustration portfolio. Amidst the coffee runs, collection of energy drinks, insomnia filled nights and what seemed like months and months of complaining to my best friends, it was done.

But just as I sigh in relief that it's over, the wait still isn't. Needless to say, I'm hoping for the best. the next set of posts will be my entry for the program, stay tuned!
